MK Architecture’s licensed and graduate architects offer a wide experience in nearly all building types with a solid track record of internal quality control. Our company is committed to the continuous education of the ever-changing Building and Fire Codes, and understands the importance of nurturing our building department relationships. Project Managers are empowered to manage their teams throughout the design/production process and work in a collaborative spirit with clients and engineering consultants. The field personnel are well known in the construction community for assisting their contractor partners to help streamline the construction process.

MICHAEL SHEELEY, AIA, LEED AP

Mike has been in practice in South Florida for the last 39 years. He has owned and managed his own architectural firm for more than 30 years, and has produced thousands of buildings and millions of square feet of space. His passion is design and problem solving to create beautiful and functional sites and buildings. He holds a graduate degree in Architecture from Georgia Tech, with post-graduate work in England and at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD). He is the recipient of more that 75 design awards and is licensed in 12 States. Mike is active in the community, having served on the boards of the Southwest Florida Symphony, Achieva Credit Union, and the Planning, Zoning, and Design Board for the Village of Estero, Florida.

KENLEIGH BUCKINGHAM

Kenleigh has worked in architecture, project development and construction for more than 34 years. Her knowledge of business management in finance and construction translate perfectly into MK Architecture, where organization and detail are a must. Her talents leading the staff and organizing work flow assures timely and complete professional services.

CRAIG RUSHING, LEED AP

Craig manages MK Architecture’s Lexington, Kentucky Office. He has been in practice in the Lexington area for 23 years, and has produced many custom residential, religious, equine, commercial, and historic preservation projects throughout the Bluegrass region. He holds a Bachelor of Design degree from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky. He has also studied under the renowned modern architect, Leonardo Ricci in Venice, Italy. Craig joined the MK team in 2019, and is licensed to practice in Florida and Kentucky, and is a LEED certified professional.
